Make Wheel Jam Your Weekend Getaway!
Why make it a one-day stop when you can stay and soak up all the action all weekend long? Bring your camper, your crew, and your love for all things wheels, and enjoy the full Wheel Jam experience right here on the fairgrounds!
Camping is offered on first come, first serve basis for event attendees. All sites have electric (primarily 30 amp, limited 50 amp) and majority have water and sewer hookups.
Reserved Camping
The only camping reservations available for Wheel Jam are in Coyote Corner. Those that had camping reservations in 2025 will be sent renewal letters in February 2026. To put your name on the waiting list, please call State Fair Office at 605.353.7340.
Non-Reserved Camping
There are nearly 1,000 other sites available within the South Dakota State Fairgrounds and are available on a first come, first serve basis.
All sites have electricity, and all sites south of 3rd St have full hookups. Buffalo Trails (NW corner of fairgrounds) has water and electricity. All campers must enter Gate 1 on the south end of the fairgrounds. Payment will be made upon arrival.
Camping is $30/night beginning Thursday, June 4. *Any campers parked prior to Thursday, June 4 will be charged $5/night if unattended, and $30/night if being used. The same rates apply for tents.
*Total cost is calculated based on the amount of event days left upon arrival.
Pre-Paid Camping Opportunity
Pay for camping in advance so when you arrive, you simply pick up your permit and pick out the site you'd like!

Campground Rules
Dogs are allowed but must be leashed at all times.
Fire pits are allowed but must be up off the ground and be enclosed with a covering. Open fires are not allowed.
